Autumn Cozy

In case you don't have a fireplace nearby, here's a little video to warm your bones -- sort of like the Yule Log, but with NPR in the background, instead of choir hymns.

Autumn on the farm is a feast for the senses... the aroma of squash soup simmering on the stove, the warty texture of Halloween gourds growing on prickly tendril vines, the deep red hue of last remaining leaves clinging to the branches of our oak tree...

I always feel sad to see the long, sunny days of summer come to an end. But nothing erases end-of-summer regret like pulling on a pair of cozy woolen socks and curling up in front of the wood stove with a hot mug of cider.

I love fall and enjoyed your photos and especially your fireplace video! Fall on the farm is always special...
